The 16th annual City Pages Beer Festival, one of the longest-running events of its kind in the Midwest, shuts down Hennepin Avenue again on Saturday, May 31, 2008. Open to the public, this outdoor tasting features a variety of the best domestic and imported beers available at metro area MGM locations, great live music from The Lovers Undercovers, accordionist Bill Koncar and The Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band! Advance tickets are $25, available at select MGM locations or online at citypages.com/beerfest. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event for $28. An $8 designated driver ticket is also available. Admission includes all beer samples and live musical entertainment. Delicious food from Big 10 Restuarant, Old Chicago and Buffalo Wild Wiings available for purchase.
Compare the taste of a low carb beer to the not-so-low. Try the latest seasonal summer brews from some of your favorites along with the latest lemonades and other “malternatives” - the experts will be on hand to share the facts and dispel the fiction about all of their products. A portion of proceeds from the tasting will benefit the St. Paul Jaycees. Again this year, the festival takes place on Hennepin Avenue between W. Lake Street & 31st Street in Minneapolis (next to Calhoun Square in Uptown).
